Out of sheer boredom, I started out on the roof of the parking garage, and checked out the antennae.
What is this?
This is a very odd little antenna. Actual size is probably about 3" high. It's fed by ONE INCH Andrew Heliax cable. WTFnord is this for?
Whee, more antennae!
Here's another mystery antenna, next to the tower. On the tower; what looks to be a Decibel Products (from the massive hardware) 800mhz antenna; some sort of collinear at top. Small 3-element Yagi at bottom. The odd plastic(?) drum is also an antenna, and has SIX runs of that same awesome super-low-loss Heliax going in. (Heliax is similar to standard coax, except it's much larger, usually very weatherproof, and has a helically ridged metal sleeve in place of the normal copper braid/foil.) I suspect the drum may be a well-disguised cell site antenna array.

Another shot of the tower.

Behold! Heliax.

In case of fire, reach into box and short two wires together. :P

Back in the cooling tower area, the Heliax cables disappear into this weatherhead.
