First matter of business... drilling a concrete structural beam inside the mechanical room to anchor one of the guy wires. Incidentally, to any of you who want to say silly things about the 'orbs' -- they're concrete dust, and perhaps a bit of that spray-on firestopping that kinda scares me. (I have no clue what the Farkle that stuff is made of.)   To the north, there was a random fire of some sort. I dunno.   Base plate and first section secured... 10 feet.  This shark-fin looking bracket is one of the guy wire mounts... proudly fabricated and hot-dip galvanized in the fine city of Medley. (See above, the photo with the random fire.)  Implements of persuasion, used to coax sections of the Rohm 55 tower together. Apparently, Rohn's quality control is very poor.
