For some reason, I vaguely remember the guy in the middle wearing a bathrobe. I was surprised to develop the film this morning and find no bathrobe to protect me from the sheer horrors. Perhaps my mind's practicing some kinda freaky avoidance technique here. (Sorry, only one photo of these guys.)

This kind of stuff just brings tears of pure PAIN to my eyes. Evening of March 11, 2005; no known event. Just a bunch of random fratboys in costume, in the university center at FIU's University Park campus. Taken on a late-ish model Minolta Autocord, Kodak Tri-X film at 100 ASA. Most likely 1/30 @ f/3.5. So... Why does Tri-X only give images with a nice tonal range when photographing things that are utterly and painfully WRONG? |
