A top view of the hour relay, and some of the display lamp sockets.  Wiring to the hour relay  Running in the dark, light spills from the back of the displays.   The same thing, from the front...   ... and, at the backs of the displays themselves.  The lamp sockets, removable for replacement of bulbs  The steppers for counting minutes and seconds, of which there are four. I think each one has 10 steps, some of which are jumpered to fire the solenoid again and skip past them to make them function as divide-by-6 counters. The one with the leaf switch mounted on top is the 10-second counter; the leaf switch is activated by some tabs on the center hub, which trigger it every minute, to enable the roll-over to the minutes relay. The one at far right is the seconds relay, which basically has only two possible positions: 0 and 5. Exactly why they did not just use a flip-flop alternator relay there boggles the mind. These too are semicircular, and have a three-sided contact.
